Job Description:SUMMARY: Responsible for the administration of Human Resources regulatory programs, policies and practices. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Performs specialized duties of confidential matters, i.e. (employee personnel information, drug testing information, etc.) 2. Process new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations and maintain employee records. 3. Conduct new hire orientation. 4. Daily administration of Drug Testing program. 5. Daily administration of on-boarding process, to include background and employment verifications. 6. Responsible for employee record maintenance within SAP and up to date filing of employee personnel files. 7. Responsible for compliance with regulatory documentation of drug testing records, Form I-9 verifications, vendor contract agreements and insurance records. 8. Create, coordinate and implement new internal processes to enhance the overall effectiveness of the administrator roll. 9. Assist immediate supervisor in the implementation of various programs and other HR related duties. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Good working knowledge or the ability to acquire skills in the following: Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access: ability to adapt quickly to new software and computer applications; ability to quickly learn the SAP system to provide support; proficient writing and presentation skills; proficient skills in organizing, analyzing and problem solving; proficient communication skills; strong interpersonal skills along with negotiating and persuasive skills, ability to maintain confidentiality of all Human Resources data and information. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: SUPERVISION: The incumbent normally performs the duty assignment at his or her discretion and is limited only by policies set by administrative or legislative authority. Total end results determine effectiveness of job performance. INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS: A strong level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship among employees, various departments, management and the public. PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: Essential responsibilities are performed in a climate controlled office but not limited to the office. Must be able to cope with stress and mental exhaustion due to the pressures of accomplishing set goals, meeting short deadlines, maintaining numerous projects simultaneously, employee confrontations and long work hours.
Experience:3 – 7 years’ experience in HR Department.
Education:High School diploma or GED required.
